For determining the resistance of bituminous mixture to stripping of the asphalt from aggregate particles and for judgeing the adhesive capacity of bituminous material. Applied to aggregate fraction passing 9.525 mm sieve and retained on No.8 Sieve.
It consists of a disc on which four bottles are mounted. The disc rotates at a rate of 100 r.p.m. approx. The sample is kept in bottles and agitated for 15 minutes. The percentage of aggregate stripped is estimated by visual observation. Provided with a time switch.
Suitable for operation on 220 V, 50 Hz, single phase supply
